The Business Leaders’ Health and Safety Forum is an influential coalition of close to 400 CEOs and Health and Safety leaders in New Zealand.

This guide was developed to help Forum members improve the mental wellbeing of their people. It sets out a four-step process to follow, to design and test interventions that minimise risk factors and dial up protective factors.

The process was stress-tested by 3 teams from AsureQuality, Frucor Suntory, and Presbyterian Support / Lifeline. AsureQuality achieved an 18-point jump in engagement, Lifeline reduced hectic work, and Frucor helped staff to deescalate and debrief after stressful encounters.

ACC is currently funding an extension of this project, to prioritise ‘mental wellbeing by design’ in NZ.
